Personality:
Sweet, simple, and gentle, Tino is rather adultlike but easily embarrassed, especially around Berwald. The blonde can keep his head in an emergency however, proving that he’s smart as well. The man is talkative and very friendly overall despite his hard past. Berwald calls him his ‘wife’, and though it bothers him a little…Tino really doesn’t mind too much. He's also somewhat of an optimist. He's slowly learning how to trust others, especially since he just got away from Ivan. He consantly keeps a smile on his face in order to hide his true feelings. Yes, Tino bottles his feelings. Sometimes, the blonde wishes he had moments to just let it all out, but...he doesn't want to worry anyone.
If you ask him about that, he will blatantly deny it. Tino often comes off as motherly, especially to his 'little brothers', Nikolai (Norway) and Egil (Iceland, his name is subject to change). He's good to go to for advice, because he'll wait until you're done talking before offering his thoughts. When he's alone, the blonde is quiet and reserved. Around strangers, he's cheery and a little untrusting, but polite nonetheless. Overall, the Finnish man is friendly.

History:
The Finnish man met Berwald through servitude. His family had been linked to Berwald’s for years, and a few years after Tino was born, he was given the task of taking care of the the young Berwald, sort of like a personal maid. They grew up this way, and it was no surprise that when Berwald was captured by a Danish Pirate (this can be changed), Tino went too. Though the ranks they were given were different, the boy still worked hard to try to ensure that Berwald was happy with their living conditions. He couldn't keep the Swedish man happy, however.
Tino was forced to watch from the sidelines as Berwald grew increasingly more miserable under Mathias' rule. He had been condemned to cabin boy and Berwald to a crew member. This is where he learned to clean and cook so effectively, as well as care for others. Half a decade later, when Berwald rebelled and broke away from Mathias, Tino once again followed. Tired of the servant life, he himself rebelled against Berwald, running away from home, only to be captured by Ivan and taken prisoner. Only recently has he rebelled against Ivan as well, gaining himself freedom and returning home where he belonged. This caused him to join the military, so that he could be stronger and protect himself if needed, and to help those in need. Now he stands at the rank of capitan and has deadly accuracy, respected among his army.
Sample/Character Introduction:
Crunch, crunch, crunch. The blonde watched his breath condense into steam and rise into the air as the snow fell around him, a gentle and harrowing presence. The snow underfoot made gentle sounds of protest and he smiled softly, weakly. It was late with the moon looming overhead and the starts peeking out from behind clouds, twinkling now and then. Tino flipped a few pale locks out of his equally pale face and stopped. How far away from home was he now-? The man couldn't remember. He wasn't worried though, he knew his way around fairly well, and home wouldn't be too hard to find. Though yes the snow was falling, his expression remained unnerved.
He had better head for home nonetheless. Berwald would be home soon and he was subject to worry if Tino wasn't there to take care of him. So with that the blonde turned and began in the the opposite direction, cheeks flushing light pink from cold, the only sign of colour on his face other than his violet eyes. Home had a fire and a book to read anyways, and a nice warm drink as well. He looked up--it appeared to be about eleven o'clock, almost midnight. Tino began to walk faster, recognizing the telltale signs that he'd been here already. The park bench he always passed the houses silent and dark. It was peaceful. Just the way he liked it. Turning a corner, the street became recognizable. He was almost home. The man fished his keys out of his pocket and shook off his boots before unlocking the door and heading in, the house empty and silent as usual. Tino shivered and took off his coat and boots, putting some slippers on his feet and hanging up the jacket. He headed into the living room and started a fire in the fireplace, before turning in the direction of the kitchen. Once his tea was done, he went back into the living room.
Now, all he had to do was wait for Berwald to arrive home.
