A groan and a flinch of the arm, tossing a pick backward in the workroom. Feliciano leaned back in his chair and brought the front two legs off the ground, utterly bored out of his mind. He had been working on a new commission for the third day in a row and it was something he honestly did not want to have to be making right now. It was a brooch. The design was drawn by the customer herself. The light in her beautiful green eyes while requesting it be made by the man was too much for the poor Italian to bear. Hopefully this got him a date but her father was a bit scary. That's never stopped him before, though.
The process would be a lot faster and easier if this wasn't only the third broach he's ever made. Feliciano despised making jewelry and hasn't learned how to say no when they're requested yet. His brother wouldn't hear of it in some cases where a man were to request since it brought in money but there's no stopping the older Italian from putting a higher price on it. Why couldn't it have been a necklace? He was better with those. All it needed was a chain which he could modify from an old necklace and just make a small charm. Or maybe even a ring. Those were even easier. It didn't even require much time. But broaches. These things were just hell. Why did that beautiful lady have to be such a detailed designer?
More complainants ran through the man's head as he finally gave up for the day and got up from the chair. This would probably explain why it was the third day on the project. All he did was work on it an hour before he got bored with it. Feliciano walked to the door frame and turned off the light, leaving the room to head for the kitchen. It was a little late for lunch but he did have to delay it a bit due to Lovino's rule 'No eating in the workroom, idiot'. The redhead reached the room and he automatically began rummaging through the pantries. He wasn't allowed to eat the pasta until dinner because of his fear of what his brother would do to him when he returned from ... wherever he went so the man would have to settle for something else. Going out for pizza was a no because if the same brother came back while Feliciano was out, someone would be locked away in the workroom for slacking.
Finally, something peaked the Italian's interests. There were greens and just enough porchetta for a panini. Feliciano brought the two out onto the counter and unwrapped the small amount of pork, and searched for the loaf of bread he knew he had in a box elsewhere. Upon finding the ciabatta he had stored away from other's eyes, the man began to slice it and put together the small sandwich. This should tide him over until dinner. He picked it up and began it eat it, heading out of the kitchen to the front room, taking place on a stool in the corner of the space. Chocolate eyes glanced over to the door, silently praying for a pretty, young lady to walk through the door and make slacking from work worth the other form of boredom, loneliness.
{{So sorry for the lateness in a post from Feli and the fact this isn't a very good/long starter. X'D;;;}}
